Two orphaned kitties, both with disabilities found each other and have completed each other in the most adorable way.
Ozzy ZombieCat and Peekaboo FrankenKitten are the best of friends, both of them have disabilities and both are looking for a new home where they can live the rest of their lives together, having fun with lots of love.
Ozzy ZombieCat is the black kitten. He was born with what is known as “Swimmer’s Syndrome” which makes cats drag their hind legs when they move. He has been blind in one since the day he was born purely because it never properly developed. Unfortunately, he was put in a shelter and because of his disabilities, it was uncertain what his fate would be.
Peekaboo is the smaller, grey coloured kitten. He was sadly found in a very bad state when he was just three weeks old, as you can see from the photo above. He was malnourished and had an infected eye that, in order to save her life, had to be removed – but she still looks beautiful. From more recent photos it is easy to see that Peekaboo is on an amazing road to recovery.
Although they were rescued separately, orphaned and in desperate need of care. They were both left with no mother or siblings and from basically the same location – Greenville in North Carolina. They were taken in by TNR Feral Cat Initiative of NC Pitt County to get the medical care they so desperately need and so they are healthy enough to start looking for their new homes.
It was at this time that Peekaboo and Ozzy met and their friendship blossomed into something beautiful. They stayed each other whilst they were both recovering, they played together – even though this is difficult to for Ozzy to do as he cannot walk properly.
The most amazing part of their story, however, is about Peekaboo. She was incredibly weak when he first came in, and at just eight ounces it was unsure whether or not she would even survive or recover from the surgery. Amazingly, when she was placed with Ozzy her mood completely changed and perked up. She’s now even getting strong enough to play-fight him and makes everybody laugh by wiggling her ears and tail. Both of them are absolutely delighted to have a best friend to support them during this hard time, they have now become inseparable.
Ozzy is set to be given a special therapy wheelchair to see if his muscles can get stronger and he can be trained to walk to save him from dragging his legs, although he has adapted very well and can do the basic things.

The two best friends both can’t see through one eye, have had tough starts and require special care but together they are the happiest little kittens. The goal is to find them both a house that will take them in together, so they can spend the rest of their lives with their new loving family and best friend.
