Cats have a lot of wisdom and knowledge about life, that if we humans would adopt would make us a lot happier and healthier, here are some things that we can learn from cats which might benefit us.
Independence
Cats have always been independent animals, they hunt alone, can live alone, cats only need themselves to make it through life. However, they do like being social, which many people do not notice. Cats can be completely fine on their own, but they don’t mind having companions.
Love yourself
Cats love their owners but they love themselves more, they make sure to look after themselves. Take a few tips from cats and try to get enough sleep every night, set high standards, eat well, pamper yourself and just look after your physical and mental health at all costs.
Be fearless
Cats climb the tallest trees, sneak around late at night and even start fights with big scary cats. You, like cats, shouldn’t be afraid to take a different path in life, it isn’t always about the destination, it is about the journey – and you will always find your way home. Fear of the unknown isn’t a trait cats or humans should possess.
You are royalty
Never, ever, be treated as anything less than royalty. Always speak out about things you don’t agree with, always demand a certain level of decent respect from people and don’t let people walk all over you or push you around.
Never settle for less
Cats will literally bother you in the morning until you feed them, they will claw and meow forever until they get their own way. If you really want something, you have to do everything in your power to get whatever that is, people can help you achieve your goals and there is no shame in that.
Spend time indulging yourself
Cats spend hours cleaning their fur and having ‘me’ time, and you should do the same. Spend a bit of money and time on yourself every now and then, it will make you feel more confident and feel like the royalty you are.
Always look forward
Cats are never afraid of falling because they always land on four feet. The same applies for your setbacks in life. Don’t over analyse anything, just stand up from your fall, dust yourself off and carry on moving forward – just like a cat would do.
There is nothing wrong with asking for help
Cats are always so dignified and yet they see no shame in asking for food or to open a door. We can all rely on somebody for a little help, asking for help can lead to so many more opportunities and knowledge.
Cats have very practical and useful traits which every single one of us could adopt to make us that little bit wiser and happier. Jumping for your goals, not fearing obstacles and never staying down after a fall are all things which can help us achieve our goals and staying in control of our lives. Who knew that our greatest teachers were meowing in front of us?
